e-Learning
DCN's commercialization planning programs are web accessible and leverage e-learning tools. The planning tool itself is self-paced and allows SBIR grantees to interface with their DCN Technical Assistance Advisor, Mentors, and SBIR staff. Users typically complete their commercialization plans over a five week period. However, our system is designed to accomodate the completion of a plan in as little as one week.
One-on-one Expert Mentoring & Market Research
Persuasive, convincing plans are supported by real world experience industry insight. As a first step, market research reports help entrepreneurs to define or validate a target market. DCN then pairs entrepreneurs with expert commercialization planning mentors and reviewers who are industry pros fluent with commercialization planning and each offering a depth of real world experiences and contacts. Mentors assume an advocate role with entrepreneurs, reviewing plans section-by-section, while a reviewer addresses how convincingly the entrepreneur has demonstrated and communicated an ability to commercialize their technology.
